Karen Harrison Dening

Karen Harrison Dening has over 45 years’ experience in nursing, most of them in dementia care in a variety of settings and contexts. She is head of research and publications at Dementia UK. She gained her PhD at UCL in advance care planning and end-of-life care in dementia. Through her role at Dementia UK, she is a collaborator, co-applicant and expert advisor to several national and international research studies, and she served on both the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) dementia guideline committees.
